An Ayurvedic facial massage ritual — in the palm of your hand.

The Kansa Wand is a traditional Ayurvedic facial massage tool, handcrafted in India from kansa — a bronze alloy treasured in Ayurveda for thousands of years. Used with your favorite facial oil, its smooth rounded head glides over the skin in a relaxing massage ritual.

Skin loves ritual. The gentle massage motion helps your skin look smoother, more toned and radiant, and gives tired-looking skin a refreshed, well-rested appearance — your daily moment of calm.

Why you'll love it

  • A relaxing Ayurvedic facial massage ritual at home
  • Gentle massage helps skin look smoother, more toned and radiant
  • Eases the look of morning puffiness for a refreshed appearance
  • Handcrafted in India by skilled artisans — each piece unique
  • Eco-friendly and built to last; easy to clean with soap and water
  • Comes in a cotton pouch for storage and travel

How to use

  • Apply a small amount of facial oil or serum — this helps the wand glide smoothly.
  • Hold the wand by its handle and press the rounded end gently against your skin. Begin at the center of the forehead, moving outward toward the temples in slow circular motions.
  • Continue down the cheeks, jawline and chin, avoiding the delicate eye and lip areas.
  • On the neck, use long sweeping strokes from chin to collarbone, then repeat on the other side.
  • Wipe away excess oil with a warm, damp cloth; clean the wand with a dry, soft cloth after each use.

A note on kansa: sometimes a greyish tint appears on the skin during massage — this comes from the natural interaction between the metal and your skin's oils. Simply wipe it away; it's a well-known part of the traditional kansa ritual.

Kindly note: Use gentle pressure — the massage should feel relaxing, never uncomfortable. A patch test is recommended if you have metal sensitivities. For external use only.

Size: 13 cm long, approx. 85 g. Includes cotton pouch.

Safety & Usage FAQ

How long should each session be?
A typical session is 5–10 minutes. Start on the shorter end if you are new to facial massage, and work up to longer sessions as your skin adjusts.

How often can I use the Kansa Wand?
Most people enjoy using it daily or a few times a week as part of their skincare ritual. Listen to your skin — if it feels irritated or overly flushed after a session, scale back to every other day and give your skin more time to adjust.

How much pressure should I apply?
Use light-to-medium pressure throughout. The wand should glide comfortably — never drag or push hard. If you feel any discomfort, ease up immediately. The goal is a relaxing, soothing experience, not deep-tissue pressure.

Should I do a patch test first?
Yes, especially if you have metal sensitivities or reactive skin. Before your first full session, press the wand gently against a small area of skin (such as the inner wrist or behind the ear) and wait 24 hours to see how your skin responds before using it on your face.

Is the Kansa Wand suitable for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin?
If you have sensitive skin, start with very light pressure and shorter sessions (2–3 minutes). Avoid using the wand on any actively inflamed, broken, or irritated areas of skin. If you have rosacea or a diagnosed skin condition, we recommend speaking with a qualified skincare professional or dermatologist before adding a new massage tool to your routine — they can advise on what is appropriate for your individual skin.

Do I need to apply a facial oil or serum before using it?
Yes. Always apply a facial oil, serum, or balm before use so the wand glides smoothly over the skin. Using it on dry skin can cause unnecessary friction and discomfort. Wipe away any excess oil with a warm, damp cloth after your session.

How do I clean the wand?
After each use, wipe the kansa head with a dry, soft cloth to remove oil residue. For a deeper clean, use a small amount of mild soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly before storing. Avoid prolonged soaking, as this can affect the wood handle over time.

When should I pause or stop using it?
Stop use and allow your skin to rest if you notice persistent redness, increased sensitivity, breakouts, or any skin reaction that does not resolve within a day or two. Do not use the wand on open wounds, active breakouts, sunburned skin, or any area with a rash or skin irritation. If a reaction continues or you are unsure about your skin's response, consult a qualified skincare professional or dermatologist.

The many benefits of a Kansa Wand massage: A relaxing ritual: The gentle pressure and motion of the kansa wand across the skin creates a calming, spa-like moment that melts away daily tension. Refreshed look: Facial massage helps ease the look of morning puffiness, leaving skin looking refreshed and radiant. Smoother-looking skin: With regular use, the ritual helps skin look smoother, more toned and glowing.

The Kansa Wand is a traditional Ayurvedic facial massage tool crafted from bronze. Its smooth, rounded head glides over oiled skin in gentle massage motions that help skin look smoother, more toned and radiant — while the ritual itself calms the mind.

Handcrafted with high-quality bronze, the Kansa Wand is eco-friendly, sustainable, and lab-tested for safety.

Using a Kansa Wand is a simple and relaxing process. Here are the basic steps to follow:

  • Apply a small amount of your favorite facial oil or serum to your face. This will help the wand to glide smoothly across your skin.
  • Hold the Kansa Wand by its handle and gently press the rounded end against your skin. Begin at the center of your forehead and move the wand outward toward your temples in a circular motion.
  • Use the same circular motion to move the wand down your face, massaging your cheeks, jawline, and chin. Be sure to avoid delicate areas like the eyes and lips.
  • When you reach your neck, use long, sweeping strokes to massage from your chin down to your collarbone.
  • Repeat the process on the other side of your face, using the same circular and sweeping motions.
  • Once you've finished massaging your face and neck, wipe away any excess oil or serum with a warm, damp cloth.
  • Clean your Kansa Wand with a dry soft cloth after each use to keep it in good condition.
(A patch test is always recommended to make sure you're not allergic to any metals).

In some cases, a greyish coating on your skin can appear. This happens due to the reaction between the acids on your skin with the metals. It's simply the metal interacting with your skin's natural oils. Simply wipe it off with a tissue or a clean towel.

It's important to use the Kansa Wand gently, using just enough pressure to feel the massage but not so much that it causes discomfort. The massage should be relaxing and soothing, helping to release tension in the muscles of your face and neck. With regular use, enjoy smoother, more toned-looking skin with less visible puffiness.
